- P.C TULSAIN RECENT EDITION IS NOT AVAILABLE,

follow Padhuka in accounts. I don't suggest study mat for practical problems.

In addition to it u can use compiler of ICAI but this can't serve the purpose of base book.

If you need Conceptual Clarity or doing Self Study then wait for Tulsian's new edition..
It is the best book to understand any topic easily and contain large variety of questions..
In addition you must refer Compiler of ICAI for Past year's questions..

What type of book you should opt for depends on your position.
Have you taken coaching classes ?
Then Padhuka/Complier/Scanner will suffice. (Assuming you have got the concept clarity by classes)
Do you feel that you need only slight help on concepts ?
Padhuka will suffice.
Do you think you can need complete concept clarity ?
Go for Tulsian.
All books are good. But what is good for you depends on your particular situation.
