can a service provider pay direct tax also???????????

Answer is simple as Yes. A service provider also pay direct tax on his income calculated (above exemption limit), in form of income tax.

Income tax pay if you earned income more then exemption limit as 1,60,000.00, for individual, whether it is service provide or not ,direct tax applicable all individual
but in reference with service tax exemption limit up to 10 lakhs ,service tax is an indirect tax.
