Dear Sir/Mam,

Goodmorning.

I am working in an newly establised educationl institution.I want to know Tax liabilities & accounting structure of educational institution.what are the provisions of income tax act for the assessment year 2010-11 regarding educational institutions ?

Dear Jageet,

The driving factors to determine would be the -

1) Legal charecter of the institute - Sole Properietorship, Firm, Society, Trust,etc

2) Whether registered u/s 12AA or not (if charitable)

3) Whether registerred u/s 10 (if university, college, etc)
