I have given cpt in 2011 & cleared in 1st attempt & from then I m appearing for ipcc but dint clear any group.It has been 2 yrs since I have graduated. But I neither joined article (by converting to direct entry) nor did any job. But now I m not getting job bcoz of 2 yrs gap & my parents want me to leave CA & join job as I m 22 yrs (completed). My dad has a CA friend where he wants me to learn a/cs related work from his friend. Now the question is
1. Whether I just directly join under CA or convert to direct entry & join CA.
2. If I convert to direct entry & complete articleship of 3 yrs & could not become CA can I show the articleship as job experience or I will be considered as fresher, as recruiters prefer fresher with max 24 yrs of age & if I go for 3 yrs article & discontinue CA. I will cross 24 yrs of age.
Please help I require suggestion & only u guys can give me proper guidance as some of u all must have faced such situation. Please help......

As you said you are 22 now. Suppose You join CA, Its very Difficult to pass IPCC with Job. Secondly if you passed IPCC at the age of 23 . As per the New course you can persue in CA (Final) at the age of 26 minimum. Ca final Result is Average Around 8 percent , it is for Brilliant and very Hardworking Students,
I recommend you to Do ACCA ( U.K) . Just Because of IFRS Implementation in India It has a huge Demand Presently in India. VG Learning Destination a Vinod Gupta Sir , A Reputed Chartered Accountant a God Of Direct Tax , His son is also Doing ACCA. Pass Percentage is Around 30 to 50 Percent and has a good career in Future.
VG Sir is now a days Promoting ACCA ( U.K) because of having a Huge Demand in Big 4 of association of certified chartered Accountant of U.K. It is equivalent to U.K Chartered Accountant Degree and Huge Chances of passing the exam because of good result and you can pass the exam one to one paper.
It is Similar to Indian Chartered Accountant and In Industry in Accounting , CA and ACCA has same Value and No Difference.
I am 33, Passed CA Final Ist group in 2012 and fail So Many times in CA Final 2nd group. I also Started ACCA With My work, Because of Rising Demand in India and Good pass percentage.
