20 July 2023ITR 2 Validation issue during online filing
I have been trying to file online returns ITR 2 but I get the error as –
“Please enter valid date” and on clicking on the error it takes me to the CFL screen. However, there is no clear message what needs to be done.
Any solution?

On CFL page check any field with RED blinking border.

Thanks for the response there is no such thing in CFL. I have attached screen shot as well of CFL in my query.

I have tried fresh filing as well - it did not work. Looks like there is some bug with CFL 2022-23 period - ideally it should populate last year's filing date automatically.

I have also been trying to fill itr2, when i validate then message shows as
"Please enter valid amount"
After clicking it redirect to "nature of income " in other income schedule ,even though i did not select that option in that schedule.even try to fill 0 in every box. Many times tried but nothing happened
What should I do?

I am also getting the same error. the pre filled date of filling for AY2018-19 is incorrect and even if I enter the correct date it gives me the same error, "please enter valid date". There are no amounts for CFL in this year, and so it should not matter.

Solution Found: "Date of Filing" for all the Years Listed, i.e. from AY 2015-16 onwards has to be filled Correctly. Once correctly filled, error is resolved.
How to resolve, open CFL section, Edit the date of filing each AY listed in the table. You can get date of previously filed dates from efile->Income Tax Returns-> View Filed Returns. The download the excel file for ease of getting the data.
