21 December 2013We are receiving stock through VRL Transporters who are charging serivce tax in their challana. My doubt is whether I have to pay invoice value including service tax or not and my liability regarding service tax payment to Department. How should I suppose to do in this regard? advice me.

Assuming you are not a proprietorship firm having registered as dealer under central excise act, the transporter shound not charge service tax in bility/LR. You are required to deposit the service tax directly to the government exchequor vide GAR-7 Challan @ 3.09% of freight value.
