Is a person holding preference shares in a company, deemed to be a member of that
company ??
Preference Shareholders are the OWNERS of the Company. They are Actually the Members of the company and not deemed.
As per the Provision of Section 43 of the Companies Act 2013 , there are TWO KINDS of SHARES :
1). EQUITY SHARES.
2). PREFERENCE SHARES.
The holders of both Equity and Preference shares are the OWNERS/Members of the company.
