Will the free or subsidized education provided to a school teacher's ward be classified as perquisite for free education to child although the appointment letter of the employee is silent in this regard. The school's memorandum too does not specify this. its just a tradition that the teacher's ward be given free education in the school.

In this regard the same is treated as perq. and exempt upto 1000 p.m expended by employer per child and no limit of child.
