Hello friends...
if an assessee retires from Govt service and after some time say, 6 months, he expires. His wife who is also a government employee is entitled to his pension apart from her salary..what is the tax consequence for the wife..?????

pension is always deemed salary, so taxable in hands of wife.
57(ii) benefits for 33 1/3 % or 15000 per annum (whichever is less) available under pension.
