i have to file TDS return for the period of Oct-Dec.
i am confused about penalty provision for late filling of TDS return
Whether it is required to paid ?

penaly amount as per income tax act is rs 200 per day till the time default continue

As per sec 234E If TDS return is not filled wihtin due date Minimum penalty will be 200Rs per day till the date of filling of such return and Maximum penalty will be not exciding TDS amount. It is to be deposited before filling the Return.

Read the article. But it is not clear if the penalty has to be paid voluntarily before furnishing of 24Q/26Q/27Q to TIN FCs. In case so, how do you pay it online ? Through which challan .
