Penalty is not applicable now. It's in under audit or any wrong shown of ITC....
Late fee only now on August return. It's 200/2 per day....

By notification number 13/2017, the government has notified the interest on late payment of GST at18% per annum. Further, if any person takes undue or excess claim of input tax credit (ITC) then person shall be liable to pay interest at 24% instead of 18%.
The interest rate is to be charged flat for each of the taxpayer and there is no concession even for small taxpayers. Hence, it is better to pay tax on time to avoid any payment interest of 18%.

Read notification received on 27 July for late fee on GSTR-3B.

Though GSTR 3B is Nil, if filed after due date late fee will be levied.
Because for the month of August, late fee is not waived.
Once you submit the return, late fee will be automatically calculated in Interest And Late Fee block.
Late fee of Rs. 200 per day is payable.

But i am filing nil return without late fee. .
