Well... I guess this is indeed a great news for CA students pursuing articleship now. This new course will definitely have a great impact on the number of students taking up CA as a career immediately after schooling.
The new entrants will hesitate to take up the course for the following reasons:
- There is a significant increase in the duration of the course.
- Any delay in clearing the exam (IPCC) will prolong the duration of the course further.
- Moreover to handle papers like tax in PCC, Students who do not have hands-on practical experience would find it difficult to clear the paper.
To sum up, the new scheme is chalked out with a view to have a check on the increasing number of students taking up CA as a career and thereby ensuring that there is no demand – supply mismatch in the job market!
