i have paid lic premium from my account. Can my wife claim this in 80c ?

Depends on whose name you got the receipt. If the policy is on your wife's name, and the receipt is on your wife's name, then yes, she can claim u/s 80C. It doesn't matter whether amount is paid from your account or her.
