Parantha to attract 18% GST as it is not roti rules Karnataka Government. Can anyone explain the logic behind taxing Paronta at more than triple the GST rate on roti?
There has been no principle laid by AAR and they have merely concluded on the few aspects like rotis are cooked where was ready to cook branded frozen paratha needs to be heated and it's not before consumption. They have denied it to be staple food, it is not which can be eaten by poor and hence concessional rate of tax is denied.
