Can anyone tell me that how can we know that PAN no are velid or not if any vendor give us only PAN no & vendor name
Can we get from any website that vendor name are correct or not.

You can verify the validity of PAN in following manner:
If the PAN belongs to a person then fourth character/alphabet will be P and fifth will denote the first alphabet of his/her surname.
In the same manner in case of firms nd companies fourth alphabet will be F and C respectively and fifth will denote the first alphabet with which its name starts.
Further if u have PAN of a person then from that u can verify the name of the person to whom it belongs from income tax website. Select payment of tax option from pay taxes online for SAT then fill up necessary challan details and then select proceed. The name of the person will be displayed who is registerd with that PAN.
