PAN validation issue in sbi account

I have saving account in sbi since 2001. PAN number updated since . But branch informed me that ur PAN number shows invaild in new software updation in SBI as fifth character of PAN does not match with first character of my last name. Branch continuously asked me for KYC. They limited my traction. What should i do ?

Have you ever changed your name?

Are you lady, so that sur/name changes after marriage?

If no, how the surname letter has been different in your PAN?

Open an account with some other bank. Such issues should have never cropped up in the first place but it seems a clear case of coding glitch in the software.
Yes i removed surname for linking my pan with aadhar number.
