If a partnership firm is dissolved then is it necessary to surreder the PAN? and if yes then what would be the procedure?....please help.
Yes obviously he needs to surrender the PAN else the firm will be liable to pay taxes.
Procedure is write a letter to the relevant assessing officer and attach the original PAN and deed of dissolution.
Assessing officer will conduct an assessment before the cancellation of PAN.
