Do you know that very soon our PAN Cards will contain our fingerprints, and the cost of each card will be around Rs. 300.

pan card is meant to track only the income of the tax payer and not his criminal activity. but ok if at the present cost. but Rs.300/- is really not democratic.

As far as I know the new applicants will be targeted & the existing PAN Card holders just have to visit TIN-FCs to give their finger prints.
