how to correct the spelling of name in PAN card of NRI (British citizenship + not ordinary NRI) not having Adhar card.?
PAN name is mismatch with passport.
how to proceed?

Please visit to your nearest UTI or Protean (NSDL). Though, They will guide you. I can share my experience when I dealt with.
Firstly, you should correct your name as per your passport or your certificates on Gazzete.
Now days, Aadhaar should be connect with your PAN card as per Indian government rules.
You can make corrections of your residential address through online. For rest of the information, you should visit directly along with necessary documents. Or when you visit indian you start this process. But Gazzete process will take time to complete a month. Pan and new or correction will take 15 days. Plan before you visit india.

A person with a valid passport. Yes you can correct your pan card spelling mistakes through online in correction form. Please submit more documents that prove your name and correct spelling such as your school or college transfer certificate, indian driving license, votor id so on. Once you get your new pan card.
You should obtain aadhaar card which must be linked with your pan card. Unless, you didn't linked your Pan card with aadhaar. Your Pan will be inoperative.
If you are plan to visit india, please schedule this process within your time limit. Please visit inperson, your nearest Banker, Post office and Aadhaar kendra, along with all documents. Don't forget to get acknowledgement from them.
It will take a week or 15 days to send your residential address. But, you can download from UDAI online portal. Then pay Rs.1000/- through income tax portal with PAN & Aadhaar. It will take 4 days to update such a penalty amount. Then you can link and your problem solved.
