The PAN is 10 digit no. so kindly check the 4th letter of the card holder,
P- Individual
F-Firm
C-Company
H-HUF
A-AOP
T-Trust,etc
The 5th letter of the card holder will be the 1st letter of the surname of the card holder.
Even if doubt exists the same can be verified by income tax authorities by the below mentioned link:
