One of my friends has lost the PAN card and do not have any proof of his card except the number.Please advice what to do and how to get a new PAN card.

go to income tax website and click on the link "know your pan". once you fill correct details, your pan no. with your name will be displayed on screen. take out a print out of the same. fill the pan correction form and enclose the copy of print out and also a copy of address proof. submit the form to tin-fc and you will receive a new pan card in few days

just file application for PAN with your existing Permanent Account Number

You can apply for reprint of the card.
Just fill in the details you have in the changes to PAN application form. Dont tick on any changes. Attach the proof for residence, date of birth and name.
File the application with any TIN NSDL centre. In few days you should be having your PAN card with you.

U fill Correction pan application & fill details and submit ur old pan copy, id & address proof photo copy at tin nsdl centres, then u get ur pan with in 15days, charge 105/-
