I have 2 Query About Pan

1) can minor have a pan card in his name

2) what is temper pan card

yes a minor can have.............

Quoting PAN has been made compulsory on return of income. One also needs to mention his PAN details in all correspondence with any income tax authority. No financial transactions can be done without quoting PAN. In fact, even if you are getting a cellular telephone connection or landline connection, it is important to mention PAN. Whether you are opening a new bank account or a demat account or trying to deposit money, it is essential to furnish the PAN details. It is quite easy and simple to get a new PAN card provided one has submitted all the necessary details and documents along with PAN application form. Usually, it takes a maximum of 2-3 weeks to get your new PAN card.

However, many a times people need to apply for duplicate PAN card because of different reasons. If the PAN card holder has misplaced the card, he needs to apply for a duplicate PAN card in India. Sometimes, even after the dispatch of the PAN card by the concerned department, the applicant does not receive the PAN card because of postal fault or some other problems. In such cases, applicants need to reapply for a duplicate PAN card.

A duplicate PAN Card will also be needed to issue to the applicants in case PAN card received by him has presence of errors. The error could be related to incorrect information given by the applicant or due to subsequent change of name etc. To issue a laminated duplicate PAN card, the applicant will be charged Rs. 10/- on account of incorrect information by the applicant.

Sometimes, the PAN card India becomes unusable. In such cases, applicants need to apply for a new glossy looking, temper proof card in the “Request For New PAN Card And Changes In PAN Data” form. The form should be submitted to nearby IT PAN Service Centre or TIN Facilitation Centre. The details should include existing PAN. Old PAN card needs to be surrendered as well. Once you are done with the process, you will receive the new PAN card in a maximum of 15-25 days time.
