I have filed an application for change in PAN data three months back. In reply, the NSDL have sent letters regarding sending of necessary documents. I have send these documents twice but the status of the application is still showing
"Your application for 'New PAN Card or/and Changes or Correction in PAN Data' is under process at Income Tax Department”
from past 45 days.
How much time is taken by the department in chanding the PAN data. There is change in the Last Name of the assessee.

in change correction in pan data income tax dept. takes maximum 15 days and if theres any problem in document verification process of the application takes some extra time

Nature of pan data change and document submitted? if possible then update
for change of address ( which is the most case) / change from minor to major, maximum 3 weeks time is taken
change of birth date/ change of name/title/ change of father's name, will take time for deep investigation as per documents submitted, there may be requirement of additional documents, which may be communicated to you.

The change is required in Last Name of the assessee and his phone no.

Check your complain after few days on same site. They will reply your query.

dont give space between tininfo @ nsdl.co.in , dont know whats the problem in this msg box it creates the gap in mail id ,
change in last name, needs notirized affidavit on Rs 100/- Non Judicial stamp paper, and also needs certification from the bank manager for new title attestation.
it may be change due to marrige or other reason, but it can be changed on documents only with court affidavit.

I filed my complaint on the above link, but the reply was same - Your application is under process.
