Painting done & sold in the auction to the highest bidder is goods or service? Does it attract VAT, Excise or Service tax?

Yes such sale attract vat,excise n service tax

y it will attract excise? where is the manufacture.

If the painter itself is selling it then VAT is applicable. No service tax.

Service tax might be attracted if auctioner is hired. taxable service def has to be seen.
