Dear All

Please help me to solve my query

My payments 4000 per month and i get increament of 500 from previous four months and not i get the total payment of 4500+2000 = 6500 so plese let me know where PT to be deducted on this amount or not and if yes then what rate it should be as my salary not greater than 4500

Please help me to solve my query

Please mention the State

However I am sharing with you on the basis state of West Bengal.

Asuming that you are talking about Profession Tax,I would like to share that P.tax authorities have issued a circular regarding the deduction of P.tax in case of Increment and asked to apportion the same retrospectively. However , there is a technical loophole rather a technical fault in the circular and presently the P.Tax is paid on the salary actually received in the specific month without any apportionment.

The matter has not yet been challanged in court.
