i transfer money from abroad to my mother account in India -
Would this attract any tax ?
I understand currency conversion and all that applies, but apart from this is there any tax ?
Does my mother have to show this as Income, i am looking at transfering 1,80,000 per year, she is not earning anything now

You can transfer it as a salary deduction to your mother. That way your mother doesn't even remotely figure in the tax bracket.
