Panel for outsourcing of work of Technical Scrutiny of Balance Sheets - (10-11-2009)
The Institute had received an Office Memorandum (OM) from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. As per the OM, the Registrar of Companies will prepare a panel of professionals for Technical Scrutiny of Balance Sheets filled by the Companies for the State concerned.

 
The Scheme of outsourcing the work is for the financial year 2009-10. The details of the Scheme specifying the eligibility criteria, mode of application, Procedure to be followed by the ROC for outsourcing of work, is provided in the Office Memorandum issued by the Ministry

 
Members may note that panel containing details of the following has already been submitted to the concerned offices of Registrar of Companies across the country:

 
A.    Chartered accountants/firms which have already applied for the Multi-purpose panel for the year 2009-10.

 
B.    Those chartered accountants/firms who had not applied MEF and had sent their details either by post or mail till 4th November, 2009.

 
Further, it may be noted that since The technical scrutiny of balance sheet does not involve attestation function, accordingly any Chartered Accountant not holding certificate of practice is also eligible to apply for the subject panel.

 
In view of the above, in case a chartered accountant/firm has not applied for the same, the following details may please be mailed at pdc @ icai.in with the subject “Empanelment with the office of RoC”
