Optimum fees for accounting of a proprietary concern

Hello,

I wanted to know the optimum fees that should be charged for maintaining Accounts in Tally of a Proprietary Concern with about 70-80 purchase bills, 50-60 sales bills(both purchase and sales contain VAT) and about 120 bank entries(in a single bank account maintained by the proprietor) along with some other expenses related bills paid in cash. The nos. given above are annual.

Please give me some guidance as to what fees can be charged simply for Accounting. I'm looking for figures! Thanks!

This is India. The criteria can't be the quality / volume of service involved. It can only be the Mind of that PROPRIETOR ? he weighs your services.

It is say if you put the figure @ 4-5,000 He may say that by paying 1 or 2,000 more he will get a full time employee who will work for > 8 hrs. + do all menial jobs.

That's how he weighs your services - (can) not take into consideration your expert advise on various matters you may offer on day to day basis .

Taking the above into consideration in Hyderabad I am charging Rs.3,000 only.(of course you know ? my qualification is)

You're referring to monthly figures here, correct? Just FYI, data/volume that I gae was annual although I know its always the mind of the proprietor.. :)

I thought charging about 1000-1500 per month which makes it about Rs.15000 per annum as optimum. But just wanted to confirm that this is not a very meagre or on the other hand a very exorbitant amount.
