In CA Final New Syllabus, major changes has occurred in Accountancy subject, ICAI has changed the name of most of the subject and that to contents also. Institute is focusing on the current industry requirement at global level and making India CAs globally competent and successful.

hi
I have registered for CA final in August 2006. I have nt attempted final exam for 2.5 years. i wanted to appear for the Nov. 2010 exam (old syllabus). I have few questions:
1) If i clear one group in old syllabus, will it be considered for next exam in new syllabus?
2) If i get exemption in one paper in old syllabus, will it be considered "passed" for next exam in new syllabus?
Thanks
manu

I MUST APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT YOU ARE COMING BACK BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE CANNOT GATHER THE COURAGE NEEDED TO FACE CA FINAL EXAMS AFTER SOME GAP.YES IF YOU PASS ANY GROUP IT WILL BE CARRIED FORWARD IN NEW COURSE. AND IF YOU GET EXEMPTION IT WILL BE CARRIED FORWARD FOR THE REMAINING PERIOD.
