Old Sylabus Students advised by ICAI to follow new sylabus b

we have no choice.

I am happy that they have come out early and not surprising us in the exam.

Early??? what are we supposed to do? get hold of the books and start studying and complete in 2 months?!!

Is this a notification for change of entire syllabus or its just that old syllabus students should follow the same topics in new study material.??..please answer....

They are saying that except as specified students should follow the books of the new syllabus. Thats my point of view

can someone please clarify it ????

I think, ICAI Announcement says that, all chapters that are common between CA Final Old and New course should be read from New Syllabus Module. It is mentioned therein as "...... with the exception of following chapters ......". I think, it means that, those exceptional chapters would not applicable for old syllabus exam. Rest all are applicable with amendements (Eg: IT Act 2008 in MICS).
