Offer For Nigeria

Dear Friends,

I got an offer from Nigeria, with Net Saving Around INR 1,00,000/- PM should i accept or not if anyone has +ve or -ve views about Nigeria, Pls. suggest me.

It doesnt matter where are u working what really matters is what are u working for. Well Nigeria isnt a bad place.

I heard so many things about nigeria, all are -ve except Salary, primafacie we can't say that nigeria is not bad place.

Congarts!! for the offer .. since i'm working in west africa-(Ivory Coast) i though i will sm bg on Nigeria..

First Its most populos country in west africa .. and rich in oil wealth .. so naturally there is conflict with in the country for harnessing oil welath in fact all oil MNC's have their operations there..the other side is that many indians work in nigeria (esp.. CA's) .. u can find indian shops,temple, hotels etc and all indian functions are celebrated as if we are in india esp .. diwali....

also nigeria is well connected to other parts of world ..by air ..like BA,emirates etc ...

I would suggest that inquire for security arrangements in the place where you will be staying etc but in my opinion nothing much to worry .

..on professional side even ICAI have their overseas branch in nigeria so u can update urself with latest professional developments.

Sir jee nigeria mein factory premises mein bhi log loot kar le jaate hain.

Still if you want to go and if you are going through a broker ask him to arrange for a working VISA other what they do they arrange tourist VISA and promise you to get working VISa when you reach Nigeria.
