Under which section should I claim the interest paid on NRE HDFC home loan for , for principal paid is Section 80 right?

Interest paid is covered under sec. 24 whereas the principal portion is covered under sec. 80C.

Please clarify if the NRI can carry forward the Loss on House Property(interest u/s 24) after deduction of Rental income by filing IT Returns regularly and claim/set off against his Indian income if he returns back to India.
