Notice u/s 142 sub section 1
A person get notice u/s 142 sub section 1 on 16/07/2018 regarding assessment year 2011-12. But the person was died on 08/02/2012. Now what to do regarding the notice.

Was any notice u/s 148 for AY 2011-12 issued? If not, I T Deptt. cannot take any action regarding assessment after 6 years from the end of the relevant AY. Moreover, the notice issued in the name of a dead person is invalid.
