My clients got 139(9) notice in January that the original return is defective and I filed new return in response of this notice. Now my client has again got the notice that you have not corrected your defective return and correct it in 15 days period. The acknowledgement no. mentioned in the notice is of original return.Now I am not understanding whether department is telling that the new return is also defective or they don't have this new return in their system. Status of the new return is still "return uploaded". Please guide.
