IT WILL BE DIFFICULT AT THE TIME OF EXAM TO REVISE FROM THE BOOK. SO I FEEL IT IS GOOD IF YOR REFER BOOK AND PREPARE NOTES FROM IT IT WILL HELPFUL IN AT THE TIME OF REVISION.

Technically speaking books are a good source of knowledge. They are in detail and only detailed study makes you more knowledgeable and prepares you to face today's competative exams. Hence books are better than notes. Personally, i prefer using Sultan Chand's or Taxmaan books. For revision purpose you can highlight important points in the books and revise them from exam point of view.

Well I dont know how it works for CA exams, but I always study directly from books reason being, as most of them have said, it contains stuff in detail which is necessary for cracking the tuff CA exams. You have to see which method you are comfortable with. I have some freinds who just cant study from books and prepare notes for everything. So I believe its kinda personal. But preparing very very very short notes of some rule/logic/funda is helpful for recap just hours before the examination.

whatever the source of preparation may be, u have to ensure 100% coverage of the syllabus & enough practice of the same. so that u r not caught off-guard, in the exams...
