Nominee Shareholder and Form 187c

Hello Everyone,

I have a query regarding Nominee shareholder?

What do you mean by Nominee shareholder and what kind of powers does he enjoy??

Why is form 187c Form I and Form II filed??

Hi,

Nominee shareholder does not enjoy any power till original shareholder is live. Nominee has right to convert the security in his name after the death of original share holder.

Section 187C is for DECLARATION BY PERSONS NOT HOLDING BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN SHARE for e.g beneficial interest hold by Trust for the shares registered in the name of trustee.

However, provisions of section 187 is redudant. Please find attached declaration of beneficial interest rules for the same.
