As per section 275 maximum no of directorship is 15 Companies, save as otherwise provided under section 276,277 & 278.
For calculating the No. of Directorship, Following directorship shall be exclued:
(1) Directorship in Private Company
(2) Alternate Director
(3) Unlisted Company
(4) Section 25 Company.

Dear Ankur Shah, I wish to clarify that directorship in unlisted company is counted u/s 275. As per Section 278 Directorship in the following co. are excluded:
-Pvt. Co.
-Section 25 Co.
-Unlimited Co.
-Alternate Directorship.
Directorship under a pvt company which is a subsidiary of a public company will also be counted u/s275

As per sec. 278 directorship under a private co. which is holding of a Public Co. shall also be counted u/s 275.
Sorry to all that was typing Mistak, I mean to say Unlimited Company.
