Strange that CA's are unemployed. I would request you to mail president regarding the difficulties faced by the freshers. I m telling this because president in the recently concluded National convention in chennai has told that no CA's are unemployed in India. and he said that there is huge demand of CA's in International Markets.

Dear Friend,
Your are correct that, many of the CA freshers facing the unemployment problem, even they can not start their own practice due to req. of many things like clients, capital, office, infrastructure etc..........
,As well as CS freshers are also facing the same problem.
The solution of above may be,
1) To make strict appt.(statutory) of CA & CS in the Companies.
2) To open various Sectors for employment/ practice.
3) Manage passing percentage.
4) There should be minimum salary criteria, no one should work below that.
There may be other reasons too.
Thanks,
Sandip Rahane

Sadly all this is true.....the CA Firms have lot of work pressures but the salary is not in that proportion while the companies do not take freshers. Every co requires a min experience of 2 years. I am getting all the more tensed with the fact that within a month a fresh lot of new CA's will again emerge and the job opportunities will drop even more !!! Really cant understand what to do?????

the reason is ,instead of hiring ca at 50k / month organisation feels tht itz better to have 3 gradute in commerce background or mba at the same rate, as thy have to go for stautory audit evn though thy have emplyd a ca in their orgnstn, so itz better to go othr thn ca .

The fact that fresh Chartered accountants are not getting salary to the tune of their qualification is absolutely correct and also reflected in the recent placements conducted by our most reputed Institute called ICAI.
Dear, it's very hard but true that the ICAI has given such a pass pecentage in May 2011 exams that those who were not worth of passing had passed the mammoth EXAM as a result of which many companies have formed a notion that ICAI is not releasing the competitive CA's and which is true.
Don't take this as if you are not competitive perhaps your competitive would have been much more than those who are already working in the well reputed companies. lekin kehte hai na ki gehu ke saath ghun bhi pista hai( Intellectuals also suffers because of duffers).
Better to write ICAI that please make the Quality than quantity.

guys do apply on the site of ING vysya bank and Morgan stanley....they require CA...u can find it on the current opening page of their sites..
Freshers are not getting jobs. Then I think it is better to start your own practise than to discuss things on internet. A CA can be a employer, develop practise within 2-3 years and hire many people and you people are here waiting for getting hired by someone. After all you are a Chartered Acccountant yaar.
Do you think it is proper that I have to remind you of the greatness of your degree ?
Do you think it is proper to tell the whole world that you have given blood, sweat and tears to become CA and now you are unemployed?
You need only about 1.5 lacs capital to start a practise and if you dont have any money with you then You can get a job within 1 hour if you go to walk in interview in some of the CA firms in big cities.

Sir, you are absolutly right but the problem with own practice is that we have to wait for another 3-4 years to earn something and if someone don't have good background or backup then he can never think to go in practice.....

I think you are right, if we can do such a hard work to become CA then why we can't make some efforts to go in to practice....
