Bhai Kumar, just have some belief  in yourself that you can do anything and the real strenght lies only in you. Just believe that you can do naything. If you believe that CS or CMA will be better for you for you, just go for it. Forget about past, because you cannot change it. Every exam is new exam. Do your job by heart , everything definately will be fine.

Dear Rising,

While I respect the efforts of members like Ankur Garg, Rahul Bansal etc. to encourage you by boosting your confidence, but nonetheless, I will tell you the bare truth about our profession's current job market position.

While graduates may quickly get interview calls for their first job, we don't get calls even after 6 months ! Even if we get calls and land up in an interview, the interviewer asks us the most difficult questions on Corporate laws, expecting us to be experts. This makes us feel more nervous. Even if we get a job, the entry level salary is almost equal to or less than what graduates earn ! Trainees with PCS earn just 2.5 k (some are not even paid !) and trainees with a company can earn somewhere around 8000-15000. Even this 15k is considered a princely sum ! Even when they pay you peanuts, they treat you like slaves and may even humiliate or insult you for not being an 'expert'.

I have attempted my last two Groups of CS Professionals in June - 2013 and I know that I will surely become a qualified CS on August 25, 2013. Currently, I am highly leveraged. For paying Home Loan, I am furiously searching for some full time job of an Assistant Company Secretary. I have e-mailed my CV to more than 100 Company Secretaries but I am yet to get a call of interview from them ! You know my mother is so much worrying about my future ? She remains awake entire night worrying about my employment status as I am already 27 years old and I have just finished my Management Training, where I was earning just Rs. 8 k

Just to make the two ends meet, I have been forced to take a decision to join a Call Centre ! Here, freshers get Rs. 15K ! This amount is considered princely for CS trainees. These BPO's give a good amount of specialised training to freshers. In our profession, they don't even train you ! They expect us to be experts at the beginning stage itself !

I know that I will get a CS job somewhere when results are declared and I get qualified.

Even you will get the CS job when you finish the CS Proffessional Exam. Before fininshing your CS Prof., it is almost practicably impossible to land a CS Job !!!

As you are facing financial constraints, I advise you to obtain a non-CS job somewhere and finish your CS studies while working. Fininshing of CS studies is important as in the long run, your salary will be many times more than the graduates.

Regards,

Harsh Bhatt

Dear Harsh,

Thank you for your views. I am also seriously thinking of joining some BPO, if I dont get any opportunity. Yes, CS(inter) is not enough to get job like CA & CMA(inter).

It's a good decision rising. But remember that you should not tell the BPO guys that you are also pursuing CS. If you do so, they will straightaway reject your application saying that you are 'overqualified' for this job. Also, give them a reference letter of your previous employer so that they accept you as a trustworthy candidate.

Hi all, I Agree with Harsh and even ashamed that a cs candidate had to work off the career line for earning for their families. I too was working earlier in a IT company in accounts field. I had been pursuing cs and also got negative responses from pcs and firms regarding the job opening or any cs training. I left my job which was in accounts field in IT company, while leaving the job my boss who himself was a CA by profession told me there is no scope / future for CS outside, but i disagree with him and left my job for completing CS Professional. After that i searched for training in CS Firms and Companies but didn't got any response from them. It is a bitter truth there is no jobs for CS in today's world and people who have got it are lucky enough. It is not that i had not tried my level best to search for the same but its a bitter fact there is no future for CS. Now am working in a company in accounts field only.
