Subject : New Training Structure for the students of CS Course.
Dear Sir/Madam,
The Chairmen and Executive Officers of the Regional Councils and Chapters were requested vide letter of even number dated 24th April, 2009 to implement the new training structure for the students of the Institute w.e.f. 01st June, 2009. Subsequently, the matter came for discussion at 183rd meeting of the Council held on 5th & 6th June, 2009 at Mumbai and the Council decided that the new training structure should be implemented w.e.f. 1st September, 2009 so as to allow the Regional Councils & Chapters to develop adequate infrastructure for conducting the SIP and EDP etc. The decision was conveyed to the Regional Councils and Chapters. The TEFC in its 93rd meeting held on 11th July, 2009 while deliberating on the matter decided as under: - 1. the new training structure would be implemented by Regional Councils & Chapters as under: i) Regional Councils 1st September, 2009 ii) A-1/ A grade Chapters 1st January, 2010 iii) B grade Chapters 1st April, 2010 2. the Committee approved the guidelines for the Students’ Induction Programme and the Executive Development Programme. A copy each of the guidelines is enclosed; 3. the Committee approved the fee structure as under: a) Student Induction Programme (SIP) Rs. 1000/- b) Executive Development Programme (EDP) Rs. 1000/- The above fee includes the expenses such as faculty honorarium, course material, refreshment, mementos, projector, and other overheads; 4. with the implementation of new training structure the Training Orientation Programme/ Academic Development Programme will be discontinued. However, to mitigate the hardship of the students such programme could be conducted simultaneously till 31st October, 2009 by the Regional Councils; 5. the new revised training structure will be applicable to the students registered on or after 1st September, 2009; 6. in the revised training structure the students will be required to complete 25 hours of Professional Development Programme (PDP). The Regional Councils & Chapters would allow the students to attend such programmes at concessional rates; 7. the modules (areas) for the SIP and EDP have already been included in the earlier letter. However, the following changes may be made as suggested by the Committee: a) in Student Induction Programme the topic ‘Know your Institute’ should be included; b) in Executive Development Programme the topic ‘Interview Techniques & How to face interviews’ should be included; 8. all the Regional Councils would switch over to residential SMTP (MSOP) compulsorily by 1st September 2009; In case of difficulty the matter may discuss with the undersigned
. Thanking You,
Yours faithfully,
( S. KUMAR )
