Networth of an individual or company is based on the value of assets held - value of the liabilities. For computing networth you need to obtain the list of assets and liabilities of such a person and then compute the current market values [for eg. Shares listed in the market can be valued at market value, for properties you can use guidance value or valuation from a chartered engineer]

net worth of a company or an induvidual is to be calculated on the basis of financial value of Assets ( fixed and current assets, cash , receivables, bank deposits etc ) minus financial value of liabilities ( payables, loans, od bank ac, other liabilities etc )
