1. How dynamic did you find the work in the filed of CA?
With the rapid growth in economy, careers in finance and accounts have gained tremendous popularity and the most prestigious career option in this filed is that of Chartered Accountant. Chartered Accountancy is a dynamic, challenging and rewarding profession. All the countries have their own Accountancy Association which regulates the quality and quantity of the professionals in this field.
2. Is it good to pursue articleship from big 4 than from a small firm or is it the other way round?
It depends on your future plan. If want to go for practice then you should look for Small or medium size CA firm and if you don’t want to be practicing chartered accountant then you must look for BIG 4.
Further if you look at money then there is no option other then to join BIGGIES.
3. What is the level of professionalism among Indian CA’s?
I have a very positive opinion about Indian CA’s who are equipped with knowledge, ability, skills and other qualities required of a professional accountant. I take you through a practical example, I attend a Seminar in which Chartered Accountant’s from India and also from abroad has participated. There was one presentation from each country and I found most impressive presentation from ICAI.
4. Apart from Tax and Audit what other services are offered by CA/CA firms?
He also serves as a management and corporate caretaker. In recent times, accountancy has become popular as a profession. The services of a CA are required in money matters even in a small business.
II. Questions Regarding Study Patterns
5. Do you feel it is important to study a subject in deep or from exams point of view? Are there any long term benefits?
Definitely I would suggest to study in deep. Once you understand the logic or concepts, no matter you study for exams point of view. It also depends on time you are putting into studies. If you can manage then surely you should study from Long term point of view.
Yes there are long term impacts of all you are reading because the course material is very practical and detailed.
6. While studying is it better to study two subjects a day or concentrate only on one subject?
7. How many hours of study did you put in daily for the inter/PE2 or Final exam?
I spend 8-10 hours in PE-II and 12-14 Hours in Final Exam.

8. How important do you feel are communication skills for a CA?
It is essential for a chartered accountant to have good communication skill. As you know that now CA professional is reaching new heights and going globally so improvement in conversational abilities is must. For this purpose a course has been make mandatory called General Management and Communication Skills (GMCS) and it has been creating tremendous impact and producing impressive results.
9. What other Books can be read for that extra knowledge on CA barring the text books?
There are lot of reference books and coaching institutes from which you can get almost every information about CA profession. I can not name one because the list is very large.
