10 April 2019I Develop Custom accounting Applications..few of my clients are saying we should have Invoice Numbers with Unique Alpha Numeric Series like MTC/2019-20/001
Just wanted to confirm is this procedure is mandatory ? In My Applications i usually start Bill Nos from 1 in Every financial Year

I mean is it OK for Invoice Nos like 1, 2, 3, 4 or is it Mandatory that Invoice Number be Like MTC/2019-20/001 ?
