Need help in auditing and assurance subject

For Audit, if possible try to learn the SA numbers and write your answers to the Point..n make sure u dont end up writing extra stuff.

For SM, I believe u should answer questions in points (and sub headings to every answer). Also, try to write your answers in proper English (grammar etc). It does help in creating a good impression on the exam checker.

Everybody has different approach to a single goal. So first judge yourself as where do you stand on this paper as auditing is a theory based paper you have to break the things that how much you can mug the keywords (because sometimes you just can’t substitute other words) and how much you can understand the subject.

Tips to study Auditing and Assurance-

• Firstly, you need to keep your concepts clear and for that you need to go through the basic concepts .So my suggestion will be to start with the 1 st four chapters which are the basic pillar of the subject. Further, it will be easy to understand if your basic concept will be clear.
• Make notes of the Keywords and keep revising it when you study the chapter.
• Analyse yourself by solving the Mock Test Papers and Revision Test Papers and clear your doubts where you find yourself lacking while solving them.
• Write your answer point-to-point. Don’t unnecessary exaggerate things as it can frustrate the examiner. For example if the question is of 6 marks give 6 different point and explain it well.
• While studying, maintain a note book and keep summarizing the whole chapter in it. I suggest you not to make summary notes in paragraph. Always remember, pointers over paragraph.
• Time management is important. In case if you are stuck in any topic do not waste your time if you are not getting it. Just highlight it and jump on to other topic and start the same topic again with a fresh mind.
• Presentation, it is the key! You have to write in a clear handwriting and in presentable manner. Underline the important keywords and write your answer in point format. Practicing ample number of mock test series can help you improve your presentation skills and fetch good marks. Don’t pick any random mock test series. This will waste your time and money. I recommend Prepca mock test series. Their question are as per the ICAI’s norms and they provide timely evaluation. Their Answer-wise detailed assessment report helped me to convert my 30s into 70s and score a rank.
• For theory subjects, pen drive classes are better than live and satellite classes as it saves you lots of time. My suggestion would be to join pen drive classes of any renowned teacher for the preparation.
