Need help - articleship in mumbai

I have been working with a small firm since over 9 months. I wish to take transfer and work with a big or mid-sized CA firm in Mumbai. I called up a few firms - none of them have vacancy; or maybe they just dont want to entertain transfer cases.

I cleared my CPT in 2010 with All India 6th Rank, and IPCC (both groups) in 2011.

Is there any big or mid-sized CA firm in Mumbai which is currently recruiting?

hey, i am also going through same ..i have completed 10 months of articleship & taken transfer...but none of the big or mid firms in Mumbai are ready to accept transfer cases...or are telling they dont have vacancies....

I am facing the same problem too,evn i wish to take a transfer, but i am not getting response from the big and mid size firms, i hope we get help from somewhere......

Go to Aneja Associates.... They are specialized in internal audit and now-a-daz dey r also looking for some manpower...

So try your best,........... Even am trying for it..

I emailed over 20 firms and didn't get even a single reply. Is 'reference' the sole criteria for getting articleship position with a firm of good standing? Is that the sort of professionalism they have?

Even i have mailed over 50 firms 15 daz back... But still waiting for reply....

One of my KPMG friend told me that many of the big firms have excess of manpower....

So they are not recruiting now....

I have been trying since 5 months still nothing...despite of having passed both groups in the first attempt with a good marks...they dont want to accept transfer cases...or just want to take people with references first...
