First of all what you need to do is assessment of your study plan. Question yourself what went wrong ? what are the areas your are lacking in ? You'll probably come with an answer thats it... Just focus on those areas and try to overcome them and next most important thing is time management and presentation skill.
Advanced Mangement Accounting :-
- Do not leave any topic including theory part. I have seen many students just focusing more on OR to score in this subject but that should not be attempted. Have a clear and conceptual understanding of each topic and the MOST IMP THING IS PRACTICE. Because this paper would usually be lengthy and you would run out of time. So do practice a lot.. a lot....a lot. It is said that " Practice makes man perfect ".
- Solve each sums from PM & study Material provided by Institute.
- RTP & Past Que. papers would help you to get a grip on this subject.
ISCA :-
- This is one of the subject most of the students are a bit scared off but in reality i would say that this is one of the scoring subject.
- I would strongly recommend Institute's updated Study Material along with PM & RTP to get a grip on this subject.
- Remember one thing this subject requires conceptual understanding so do not just mug up as it would not help you on the very day of exam. If you are not able to get into any topic ask your freinds, collegues, etc and you could try even google
- Try to make some charts, mnemonics, relate some stories to the topic etc you can do anything you like so that you would be able to sum up whole thing on the exam day.
- In Nov.15 CA Final exams this time there is a holiday of 2 days, so you have a brilliant chance to score in this subject cause many a times students are not able to complete their syllabus in a single day.
Direct Tax :-
- First and foremost is do recent amendments and case laws.
- Understand each provision properly and than try to solve some practical sums based on the provisions of law and various case laws.
- Do refer PM & RTP.
- Since the syllabus of DT is large do prepare short notes which would be very handy on the exam day otherwise you would never be able to complete whole syllabus.
Indirect Tax :-
- Same as in DT, do recent amendments and case laws.
- Do not leave any topic in option since i have since many students leaving Customs in option but this wouldn't help out.
- Prepare charts and notes so that would ease your work on the exam days.
- Do PM, RTP, Supplementary Paper and Mock test paper.
