14 April 2011Can anybody tell me that whether the Car higher charges covered under sec 194I or under sec 194C?? I am payning Rs.15000/- per month for Car hiring charges, vendor also providing driver facilty.. What if there is no driver?
Can i Deduct TDS u/s 194C? or it is exempt u/s194I as limit of 180000/- is not crossed?

It shall be Covered U/s 194C.

I am working in USA based MNC in Gujarat. My query is that we have more than 15 contractor (Including Labour contractor , Security Contractor, Canteen Contractor, Work Contractor ). Their registred office location is in city area, some other contractor have in different district in gujarat. We paid our company employees professional tax in our area Gram panchayat.
But Query of our Contractor that Where they paid their professional tax payment? In their registred area Municipal corporation or in our area Gram panchyat? Please clarify what law says.

in a state the business owner is needed to pay single profession tax at principal place of business, however if they change the state for business purpose in other state then they are required to get registratin there and pay profiession tax in that state too,
