I have to file ITR 1 for my friend, who has income only from salary. The employer has deducted excess TDS,so we want to claim refund the same.
My doubt is whether we need to attach cancelled cheque along with ITR 1 for getting the refund or furnishing the bank details asked for in the form ITR 1 is sufficient ?...
Kindly advise me..... Thank you.

It is your choice whether you want the refund in bank draft or to be credited directly to your bank account.

Give your bank account number with MICR code - you will get the credit in your bank directly.
