1) What is the difference between Form 210 and MTR-6 challans?
2) Can VAT and CST both be paid through one cheque?

Form 210 were used at the time of depositing tax by cheque
MTR6 is a challan for online payment VAT.
Now, payment of tax online is mandatory and so payment by cheque will not be accepted by the bank. SBI has come out with the solution for all the assessees who are eligible for file six monthly returns by which, dealers can pay by cheque in SBI Designated Banks and SBI will inturn pay online into the Government Treasury. The details of the same are available on www.mahavat.gov.in.
Also, one cheque cannot be used as the accounting code for VAT is 00400192 whereas the same for CST is 00400111.
