Ofcourse in terms of economic growth Gujarat stands at peak. But remember economic growth it'self is not a indicator of development. Proseperity can be measured how we utilizes our limited GDP to convert it in to Human Development.
Let me ask you one question, Gujarat is stands at first for GDP percapita Income , people have huge income at their hands & why gujarat Human development Index(HDI) Ranking goes on falling as compared to other indian states... With High income why standard of living &HDI of Gujarat still at 0.621.
My recent study have witnessed percapita income of kerala is considered as low. But Standard of living & Human development index is the highest than all other indian states. it's HDI is 0.827 par with develped economies. even greater than Russia,turkey & so on
